Science Open House (Two)

Saturday July 18th / 7:30-10 am

Come explore the Otter Creek gorge with us (along Stone’s Pocket Road in Baxter’s Hollow Preserve) and learn about our research along the way. We will be leading guided hikes, observing and banding birds, and searching for aquatic species in Otter Creek. Try your hand at sketching and journaling about your observations, or learn about the ecology of Turkey Vultures – and maybe even meet one!

This event is free and open to the public, and families are especially welcome. No need to RSVP! Reach out with questions: bhrcollective@gmail.com

Directions: Baxter’s Hollow Preserve is owned and managed by The Nature Conservancy. There is a gravel parking lot on the right side of Stone’s Pocket Road (here), and you can walk down the road from there. We will be set up near the first bridge at the bottom of the hill, about a quarter mile away from the parking area.
