Celebrating and Conserving Migratory Birds: World Migratory Bird Day

May 5th, 2026 / 6pm

Join us for a lecture hosted by Powered Up Baraboo to learn more about the remarkable migrations that connect our own backyards to ecosystems across the hemisphere. We’ll introduce the Bird City program and share practical ways you can support birds locally, from bird-friendly yards to reducing common human-related threats.

Natural Resources Foundation Bird Banding Field Trip

Wisconsin Society for Ornithology Birdathon / Bandathon

Join us for a bird banding demonstration at the Honey Creek Preserve to support the Wisconsin Society for Ornithology’s annual fundraiser for the property. Stop by the

Science Open Houses

Sunday June 14th / 4pm – dark & Saturday July 18th / 7am – 11am

Drop by one of our study sites to learn about the species we encounter and the data we collect. We will be banding birds, recording soundscapes, and searching for interesting plants & insects. Families welcome!
